Parts - Austin

Department: Parts
Location: Austin, TX

Position Summary:

The Parts Person identifies parts and equipment, needed for the repairs. Experience in heavy, medium, and light duty truck field. Searching for parts all makes and models from small cars to tractor trailers. Assist with the everyday functions involved in a truck repair shop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by discussing products and service required for vehicle repair
  • Conduct parts search to determine the availability of parts
  • Obtain parts by pulling them from stockroom or ordering them from supplier(s)
  • Perform shipping and receiving operations related to parts
  • Operate computers and electronic equipment
  • Invoice customers for payment
  • Receive payment for parts
  • Control inventory and maintain stock
  • Function as a salesperson and information source for customers
  • Protect self and others through basic safety precautions and procedures
  • All other duties as assigned.


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six – 12 months successful vocational training or Associate’s degree is helpful
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • ASE automotive certification is a PLUS
